In the motherhood

i was watching ellen last week and her guest was leah remini (king of queens) and she mentioned about this site. www.inthemotherhood.com and it was a great site for mothers to share anything about being a mom and raising kids. i think this site was just recently put up and seems new. but it's great going over the site. if you have friends who are mothers too, share with them the site. maybe one day we mothers here in the philippines will be recognized as being part of this site.

and i'm doing my part too.

i'm hoping that by the time july rolls by and kyle turns two, i'm already working and helping out my hubby with the expenses. i tried out to be a housewife and i'm enjoying every day with my two kids but deep inside, the call to work is hard to miss.

and i sure hope, i get one of those calls soon. :)

then i can start planning our future properly...

finally!

after days of unbearable heat and being sticky after just taking a shower, it finally rained!! at least ngayon kahit paano eh masarap ang simoy ng hangin. and finally, kyle and keon can sleep longer during the afternoon.

this is the time that i can say i love the rain...

my mom bought a weighing scale for reasons i don't know. but we have been weighing ourselves like crazy. although we don't get fazed with what the scale tells us. we have tried to weigh ourselves carrying kyle, keon, and some random object at home. now that's crazy. :)

but just to share, i'm weighing 120lbs now. i'm hoping to lower it to 115, but that would be impossible since all i do here at home is eat and sleep. literally buhay baboy, so how can that happen? hahaha masarap kumain at matulog eh!

- I can burp while having the hiccups. Hehe

- not mine but my dad’s, we just love his puting adobo. He just cooks it in vinegar and dries it up until the oil is left then fry it until everything’s golden brown. Then we put the rice where the adobo was cooked for instant adobo rice. Yummy!!

- I’ll describe the wall paper in my cellphone since the laptop I’m using is my mom’s. for my phone wallpaper, right now it’s a picture of kyle wearing my glasses. For my screen saver, it’s death (neil gaiman’s endless) saying: nobody is creepy from the inside, Hazel. How appropriate di ba?

- I had low waist jeans, polos, those elephant jeans, sneakers, Giordano classics shirts.

- 3 times. I couldn’t say which ones was the worst because I was the one who broke up with them. recover? Deadma na lang. mabilis akong mag move on eh. Hehe

- the power to read people’s minds… just so I could avoid those people na maninira lang ng tao.

- not being able to see my grandkids and growing old alone.

- my mom and I use carrot soap from my uncle’s in-laws who’s a dermatologist. (magulo ba ang connection?). it can remove blackheads, minimize dry skin, basta maraming benefits and it can be used all over the body. Sulit!!

- just playing with kyle and keon keeps me fit.

3. Where do you do your bargain shopping?
- SM and Landmark. nasa pag hahanap lang yan.

- Domex, kahit saan pwede!

updated my blog's new look! tried out the blogger beta thing to see if it's really user-friendly. and surprisingly, it is!

the click and drag function to edit the look of your blog is amazing!! i just hope that there were more choices for the blog templates though.

only thing i have to work out is how to ad the list of my recent posts as a list in my sidebar. other than that, my blog looks just fine.

yung mga katulad nyo eh ang dahilan kaya kumikita ang mga anti ageing creams eh... dapat kayo ang ma-eliminate nde yung fine lines at wrinkles. lumalabas lang naman ang mga yun dahil sa inyo eh.

while my babies sleep

another opportunity to go online while my two babies are peacefully taking their afternoon naps. a little peace and quiet for a while. kyle's sleeping soundly on the sofa, keon's in his crib, in a few hours, he'll stir and make stretching noises indicating it's time for his feeding. kyle will wake up around 3pm, ask for milk and then play outside with his nanny.

i'm happy that my first born didn't show any signs of jealousy when we first came home with keon. he was actually curious as to who this new person in my arms. it was a great feeling when i explained to him that keon is his baby brother. and without batting an eyelash, he was happy to give him a kiss on the arm. although there are a few moments that he would poke and touch keon that would make me worried that he might get hurt. but when we tell him it's not nice, kyle does stop doing it. such a smart kid.

i'm still recalling that day when i gave birth to keon and make it into a separate blog entry much like what i did with kyle's before...

i'm happy to say that i finally have enough breastmilk to feed keon throughout the day. iwas frustrated when i was breastfeeding kyle because after the 4th or 5th day, i still could not collect enough breast milk to fill 1oz. i was that sad. good thing now with keon, he gets 2oz per feeding of my breast milk. and i get to pump milk every 3-4 hours or so. so i guess this would really help in getting my figure back. haha. i can't wait to fit back into my clothes!! i am so sick and tired of maternity clothes and i hope not to see them or use them in the future again. say like 10 years? hehe

by the way, i'm still selling and making jewelries, although i don't get to post the pics online yet. still waiting for my mom to get us a dsl connection. let me know if you want to see the ones i made or i could even create one for you, just send me the design you want and i'll do what i can. :)

have to prepare now to go to the hospital, i'll be taking keon for his first visit to his pedia and get his BCG shot. hopefully he won't have any fever and won't cry after the shot. :)

i'm still pregnant

yup. the big day hasn't arrived yet. still in my pregnant glory but stuck at home. not that i'm complaining, i'm having the grandest time! i get to spend the whole day with my son and see how he goes through his day.

right now we're having aishi's cabinet renovated so that the orocan drawers will hold all the kid's clothes and other things. and i get to keep an eye on their things now and keep track of their clothes. i just wish that our room's much more bigger than it is. but, we're living with my parents so i don't have the right to complain. it is after all their house. but we don't plan to stay here forever, we're saving up for our own place soon. and a lot of saving will be done.

so anyway, on to lighter things.... what have i been up to? well....

> still making jewelries. and waiting for the advance classes that i can attend.
> teaching kyle his abcs and 123s. and he's quite the fast learner. you just have to capture the right moment to get his full attention.
> looking into other business options. i don't plan to be a housewife you know... hehehe
> one step at a time savings. a little goes a long way
> preparing keone's things. we're back to square one again.
> baby proofing the house and sanitizing the house. keone will be arriving anytime soon.
> getting more and more impatient. can't wait to see keone. and i'm on my 36th week! 1 week or more to go. :)

i had this fun conversation with colby sometime this week. obviously people like us HATE math like it's a disease. ask us to compute without any pens and calculators and you'll get blank stares from us. so anyway, this is how the conversation went:

yagie: oo.. ata
colby: hehehe ok.
yagie: math yan eh!!
colby: pati ako nalilito na. hahaha!

aga mulach encounters... at chef and brewer

since ang lovable kong dada eh may gig sa chef and brewer every thursdays (plugging po!) and tamang timing naman since si cousin liza eh bumisita from the states, we decided to let her watch my dad. and as fate (uy, fate ba talaga?) would have it, andun din pala si aga. siyempre kasama ko as usual ang partner in crime ko na si colby. buti na lang at tamang-tama ang lugar namin since malapit kami sa cr so kung ma weewee man si aga, dadaan siya sa amin. at oo nga at dumaan nga. siympre kaming mga simpleng mamamayan lang eh na-starstruck ng todo! kulang na lang may stars sa mga mata namin.

so anyway, here's a video we took of aga jamming with my dad's band. see my dad there at the back? actually siya yung kinukuhaan namin ng vid eh, sumingit lang si aga. hehe joke!

out of nowhere, i came up with the best xmas present that i can give aishi!! but for now i'm going to keep it a secret until chistmas is over. :)

i'm just so happy at the idea and i wouldn't have to spend for anything for it! yey!!

some people i know have been acting like sheep. you guys have a brain you know, use it!! please!

some things are really going downhill. and no, it's not personal thank god! i wuld've cried about it and not blogged about it.

it's funny that one person can really turn around things just like that with the snap of his fingers. hence the first statement that some people have become sheep! thank god i didn't turn ito one of them.

i'm just counting down the days until i can finally say this is over and done with. can i say freedom? hahaha

on the downside, i'm sure going to miss some of those sheep. they have been good. and i'm proud of the others that have remained indifferent and just gets on with what they are contented with. good job you guys! and see you soon!

for now, i'm keeping my mouth shut and details secret. but one way or the other some people would know. word gts around fast... and people talk, and i mean talk!

Ok, now for the family…

 our own digicam. Preferably a canon ixus 60. the 5 MP one.

 Kyle and Keon’s own drawers / cabinets.
 A trip out of town or better yet, out of the country
 Hopefully our own place.

 Aircon for the room – this will be for the kids.

As mentioned earlier, as the ultrasound last Saturday indicated that we are going to have another little boy running around soon! It was quite a happy and surprising experience since we didn’t expect at all that it was going to be another boy. Half of me was hoping that it would be a girl since we first came up with the name for a girl and we were slacking off thinking for a boy’s name.

It was really funny when aishi saw that it really was a boy. I mean it’s no denying that the doctor pointed out his balls. It was right there in front of us. I just laughed at how funny it is. Part of we was also happy knowing that I wouldn’t go through all the hassle of taking care of a baby girl since I have no idea how to take care of one. Taking care of boys are much easier. They’re much easier to clean up after pooping and weewee. One or two wipes and they’re good to go. 

The only sablay thing that I forgot to do was ask for a copy of the ultrasound print out of baby’s genitals as proof that he is a boy! Haha

When we got home, mama was requesting to do a 3d ultrasound so that she can see what Keon looks like. Hopefully that can be arranged once I get my 13th month pay.

Our office has arranged an internal contest and the grand prize would be a whopping… P300k for the winning group! Gosh! Imagine all the money when our team wins!

Saw happy feet last Saturday and it’s a great movie!! I am truly in love with robin Williams! He’s absolutely cute! And the other penguins too!

This is one movie with a story. I didn’t notice how long the movie was!

My cousin just came back from the US and I can’t wait to see her again! It has been so long! Updates when we get to go out this week. :D

My little boy’s the jealous type. he makes funny faces or scrunches up his face to show he’s mad when he sees his dada kissing me or even touching my tummy. He even gets mad if he sees his uncle hugging my dad! That only happens to me and my dad. For other family members, he wouldn’t care less. Hahaha

He’ll be nice to you if you take him outside to play with the dog or, just play outside. After that if he gets tired, he comes rushing to me. hahaha. How user can my son get? Amazing!!

I just can’t help but feel sad when I see or even hear news of babies dying or even being born dead. It just breaks my heart. One, because as a mom I feel what the mom feels, after all that she has gone through then this tragedy. Then, of course the loss of a loved one.

Blame the hormones or whatever but I just want to cry. It’s just so unfair that these little angles have to be taken too soon. Para bang pinakita lang sa mga magulang kung ano ang itsura ng mga anak nila.

A big chunk also goes to the fact that i’m scared as hell that this might happen to me as well and i’m scared of not being able to cope at all. But if it’s god’s will, it’s god’s will.

But I’d really prefer that I get to keep my kids as long as possible.
