quarter of a century old

quarter of a century.. 25 years.. can you say OLD? seriously i never imagined reaching 25 this soon. before i thought 25 was a far away age. when people reached that age, they're oh-so mature and stable and with high flying careers and jet setting lifestyles.

well maybe mine isn't the way i thought it would be but i'm still having the grandest time of my life! who wouldn't i mean, having a family to call my own. my own offspring who is becoming a really smart kid at such a young age (stage mother moment) an upcoming 2nd child who i hope to be the same as his/her kuya. a great and loving and understanding and caring husband. a really supportive family. reliable friends, a very uber cool and funny bestfriend. what more can i ask for? aren't i the richest person on earth in terms of non material possessions?

on another note, i don't want to pre-empt anything but those who are close to me would know that there would be a few changes in the coming months, work wise for me. but for now, i'm not giving away a lot of details. basta yun na yun... for now

anyway, i was supposed to share what happened during my birthday. sorry no pics to share coz we totally forgot to document everything. blame it in getting old. haha so, how did our day start? hmmm..

we (aishi, kyle and i) woke up around 10am on a sunday morning. mama was still in the market. my other siblings were still asleep. so we three decided to just watch tv and play. but unfortunately there was no cable until today (paging sky cable!!) we just watched finding nemo for kyle's sake again. around lunch time, mama served my favorite dish ever! kare-kare! yummy to the high heavens! too bad aishi doesn't eat kare-kare that much. i guess something to do with the peanut butter sauce or something. good thing there were quite a few left overs from last night's dinner.

after lunch, aishi and i prepared for our "date". i felt bad that we can't bring kyle with us since we might not be able to complete our tasks (shopping). so off we went to sm for some shopping, aishi's treat. he bought me as a birthday gift, 2 maternity blouses and 1 maternity jeans. *happiness* it's not that expensive since we bought it in sm department store. super tipid talaga. we also dropped by the baby section, i wanted to buy kyle a belt since some of his pants are a bit big for him. and since it's sm, i was able to buy 2 belts for only P50 pesos each! and the belts looked like we bought it at osh kosh! winner talaga! was also hoping to buy a few things for the baby but, decided against it since we will be getting back some of kyle's clothes and a few more from his cousin migs. as in share share lang talaga ng gamit. tipid again *wink*

after walking around sm, of course aishi and i got hungry. we went around glorietta to look for something to eat. take note merienda lang naman. hehe so we ate at smokeys, bought fries from potato corner and a small bag of pop corn from holy kettle corn! yey! happy kids kami ni aishi. haha after stuffing ourselfves with merienda, we heard mass in greenbelt. it was my birthday, i should hear mass and say thanks to god of course. my gulay! parang may concert sa greenbelt chapel! people hearing mass at 4pm were full to the brim. until greenbelt 4. we braved the heat and the little breeze during the mass. aishi was a bit worried i might faint since i have been known to suffer from fainting if the area was not ventilated enough or if there were no breeze at all. but i survived.

after mass, we did our grocery shopping. bought more or less things for kyle and our baon for the week. i really love doing the grocery in landmark. hehe fun! we also bought cake from red ribbon and planned to buy some pizza from a pizza place near our house but unfortunately, wala pa rin silang kuryente so, we bought na lang in pizza hut. ang default pizza place. hehe

and we finally went home and had dinner with my family. when we came home, it was obvious that kyle missed us since he was awfully clingy to me and aishi. he wouldn't leave our side. and always wanted to be carried. come his bed time (and mine) he was very affectionate. he kissed me and his daddy a few times on the lips as well as my tummy when we tell him to say goodnight to his baby sister/brother. awww... how sweet can that little boy get?

all in all. i had the best birthday ever. even after the worst typhoons that hit manila after a few years. what's new? sanay na akong may bagyo or umuulan sa birthday ko eh. hahaha. as long as i have my family with me to celebrate, i'm happy and there's nothing else i could ask for.

although i'm still wishing for a few things on my wish list to come true. but those are material things already. will post it, if i would have the "courage"? haha

* to those who greeted me on my birthday or even sent a belated greeting, thanks! can't enumearte all your names as i might miss out one person. so i'm just saying a collective THANKS to you guys! i'm touched!
