how's the baby?

so far so good. baby and i are having the grandest time. as long as kuya kyle's not that playful especially when we're lying in bed and i'm putting him to sleep. he has this habit of putting his feet on top of me to make him sleep better and usually he places it on top of my tummy. so poor baby... but there are times that he's aware that there's a little baby growing inside mommie's tummy which he gladly kisses and laughs playfully after. one of my favorite moments i must say :)

so about our little baby baby bear bear... ( kyle's baby bear kasi). i'm feeling a little kick here and there during quiet moments but for now, it feels like little bubbles in my tummy or the impending feeling of passing gas. hehe but then it never happens so i know that was baby doing some excercises in my belly. the only complaint i have during this time is the frequency of going to the loo. when i was pregnant with kyle, i experienced this "incident" when i was on my last trimester. it's a bit baffling now that every hour or so i have this urge to pee. hassle on my part especially if i'm in the groove of doing my work which is very rare haha).

so anyway, here's what babycenter says about little baby baby bear bear...

How your baby's growing: At around 4 inches long, crown to rump, your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 ounces. He's busy inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid, which will help develop the air sacs in his lungs. His legs are growing longer than his arms now, and he can move all his joints and limbs. That means his hands are more functional, too. Sweat glands are appearing, and although his eyelids are fused shut, he can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, he's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but his taste buds are beginning to form. And if you have an ultrasound, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or girl! (Don't be disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down the gender depends somewhat on how clear the picture is and the position of your baby during the ultrasound; he may be curled or turned in such a way as to keep you in suspense.)

as for that ultrasound bit, i'm putting it off in time for my birthday. birthday gift ko na rin sa sarili ko. =)

dun sa site ng baby-gaga. may mga calendar girls na preggy moms. yung mga nasa same week ko eh obvious na ang mga tummies. partida naman sa akin, 2nd baby na pero nde pa ganun ka obvious ang tummy ko. (naks!) pero humility aside, i can still fit into my regular clothes pa naman and praying i can start wearing maternity clothes when i reach my last trimester para tipid naman. =) i'll try to post a snapshot of my tummy para maniwala naman ang mga nagbabasa ng blog ko. wehehehe :P

yun lang naman so far... plugging na rin... visit naman kayo sa wedding blog ko. wala lang hehe

before i go full blast today at work, might as well do a little blogging on the side. share a few stories etc...

prison break, season 2.. (konting spoiler lang)

golly bananas! this is one addicting series! and thank god season 2 started already. thanks to a few good officemates who religiously download new episodes every tuesday (since it's being shown every monday night in the US) for the sake of us junkies here in the office. of course, after watching the first episode, as usual, it still remained a cliffhanger with new characters to boot. naku, dito na ba mahuhuli si scofield? ma-figure out na kaya ng FBI agent yung mga tattoo niya? and that FBI agent's a smart guy and a bit OC i must say. i also have this feeling na medyo same situation or attitude sila ni scofield. kasi na gets niya agad ang way of thinking niya eh. kakabilib!

pluto, no longer considered a planet...

so 8 na lang ang official planets natin plus a few hovering a few million miles away from pluto na wala pang names pero identified na. naku, pano na yan pag dating ng panahon na nagaaral na ang mga anak ko? ano kaya ang tamang sagot sa tanong na: "how many planets are there in the solar system?" mababaliw siguro tayong mga ina.

nakakaawa rin dun sa nakadiscover sa pluto na after all those years eh ganun na lang na mawawala ang planet mo sa solar system. siguro ngayon depressed siya kung buhay lang siya ngayon. heheh

my wedding blog..

wala lang. naisipan ko lang na mag create ng isa pang blog para lang sa ma wedding chenes ko. ayaw ko lang kasi ng cluttered look sa blog ko na to. kasi pang random drama and thoughts lang to. so better na lang for a wedding blog.

bisita naman kayo sa: NOT BRIDEZILLA kahit na 3 posts pa lang. trying to update naman ako eh. tsaka kung may gusto kayo i-share na ideas, go lang!

kyle the dancer..

natuwa ako kaninang umaga nung hinatid namin si kyle sa in-laws namin. saktong nanonood si shobe ng mga nursery rhymes. so etong anak ko, since gising na gising na at alam malaki ang walking area niya, hala sige ang lakad. tapos pag may gusto siyang song. hihnto yan at magsasayaw. with matching bending pa ng knees tapos mag twist siya from left to right. basta yun. i'll try to get it in video para ma gets niyo. hehe pag tapos na siya sumayaw, mag clap siya for a job well done sabay punta kung san ako nakaupo para maglambing. nakakatunaw ng puso no?

sale sa sm!

sana sept 1 na para ma experience ko na ang sale sa sm makati!! until sept 3 siya actually. at ubod ako ng saya! at least kahit paano eh makakamura sa pamimili ng mga gamit. gamit ko at mga gamit ni kyle at ang upcoming bebe. sa panahon kasi ngayon dapat nagtitipid at abusuhin yang mga sale na yan! hahaha wala lang excited na ako. tapos may nalalapit pang book fair sa world trade. nakakawindang!!

anyway, off to do some serious work na. mahirap nang kumita ng pera eh. hahaha sana sweldo na rin bukas!

my little boy..

a bit boring in my side of life.. so might as well list the achievements of my little boy. the love of my life =)

since he turned one, he knew how to:

> climb the stairs with our help. one foot per landing
> clibe the stairs on his own, but in a crawling fashion
> knows how to drink through a straw. even i was amazed when i saw this! it was just an experiment!
> can walk all on his own around the house. but sometimes has his drunken master moments
> can be potty trained soon since i've realized that he has a regular schedule of making poopoo and he has his special position when making poopoo. hehehe
> he knows how to replace the cap on his milk bottle
> can sleep on his own, provided i'm beside him so that he can still make siksik.
> he knows who dada, dadee, mama, nana, uncle peepee is. even in pictures!
> he laughs when he sees is pictures
> he knows how to stum a guitar
> can turn off and on the lights and any other switch he can get his little hands in.
> shockingly, but he knows how to put any appliance's cord in the socket. of course, with mommy saying NO! before he does put it in... but you know the act how to do it. yun.
> he knows ho to climb down my parent's bed. without any help

wow, i can't believe he just turned one a month ago and he knew all these things. i feel so proud. and i can't believe how smart my kid is. (oo na, stage mother eh)

the only thing i'm waiting for is to hear him say one complete sentence and with no baby talk! and i'm sure that's just around the corner... =)

my new addiction..

yup. heard the reviews from people and they said the series is quite fetching especially if it deals with medical jargon and what happens in a hospital. in fairness, it's not as gory and icky as nip/tuck.

and of course, it makes you feel like you're one of them coz you can relate to the stress they're going through with a lower stress level for you compared to them.

of predictions and that calendar...

i have been hearing comments from people who are aware of my pregnancy that this time, the baby i'm carrying will be or is a girl. and the usual thing i say is sana nga..

i'm not an avid fan of predictions but curiosity got the best of me. so i went to search for that ever talked about chinese calendar than can predict (take note, predict, not say) the possible gender of the baby depending on the woman's age and month of conception. so ok, here goes, trail error. hula na lang kung kelan namin ginawa si baby.. and guess what, the prediction i got was... a baby girl!!!

in fairness happy din naman ako. kasi i'm also hoping for a baby girl. pero kung boy uli. ok lang as long as happy and healthy ang magiging baby namin.

on another note, but still on the topic of baby #2, nakakatuwa ngayon si kyle. kasi after several days of teaching him na i have a baby in my tummy (kahit nde pa ganun ka obvious). pag tinanong ko siya " kyle where's the baby?" hahawakan na niya na ang tummy ko with matching laro pa ng navel ko. may fixation kasi siya sa mga navels eh basta, don't ask. hindi ko rin alam ang sagot. hehe so anyway, ang nakakagulat pa eh, pag sinabi ko sa kanya na "kiss the baby", kiss naman siya with matching mwah sound! kahit si pitoy natuwa nung nakita nya eh. o di ba, ang sweet na kuya?

in fairness, excited na ako sa baby na to... kasi kung girl nga, eh di ang saya mamili ng nga girly na gamit para sa kanya. and matuturuan si namin si kyle to respect girls and women better. medyo nagiging pilyo kasi.

plans for the future...

aishi and i are planning to push through with our plans to get married in church in 2007...

but of course, there are a lot, and i mean a lot to consider... and well... if you guys know anything that would be really helpful in the planning and of course, swak naman sa budget. if you want to know how much we plan to spend, pm me na lang...

bottom line, super simple lang ang plans namin for the wedding. as in close family and friends lang. more or less max guests would be 100. pero marami na rin yun for us. as in super intimate lang ang gusto namin.

naku, i might turn into those "brides" sa isang famous yahoo groups... na yun na lang ang laman ng blog nila!! wahaha sana naman wag.. wehehehe :P ( no offense sa iba ha?)

baby updates

oo totoo nga! buhay pa ako at ang dakila kong blog eh nag hibernate lang muna. alam mo na medyo busy lang kasi ako kaya hindi na nakapag update ng maayos.. so anyway, try na rin kahit paano habang down ang site namin at hindi makatrabaho ng maayos. hehe


baby updates na lang muna...

so 3 months na si baby. still hoping na sana girl naman para complete na kami. actually may naisip na kaming name kung sakaling girl nga. since si kyle K X ang initials, we thought bakit hindi rin si baby. we were thinking of names while having dinner in dencios sa araneta, before watching the BEP convert (sa susunod na lang yung post na yan). so anyway, while waiting for our food, nagiisip kami ng names. and we finally came up with another KX initial. pag girl tong si baby, we will name her: Kirsten Xyrene. ang cute di ba? kahit ako naaliw sa pagkaisip namin ng name ni baby. pero pag boy... clueless pa kami and we really have no idea. hehehe any ideas? basta KX ha?

awa ng diyos naman eh i never experienced morning sickness. as in kahit paano hindi ako nagsuka. mga twice or thrice lang nangyari kasi either super busog ako sa dami ng kinain o nakalanghap ako ng usok ng yosi. lalo na yung mga masasamang tao na ganun ganun na lang bumuga. inaamin ko, smoker ako pero naman hindi ko naman binubuga ang usok ng all out at bigay todo noh. siyempre kahit paano may onting consideration pa rin and as much as possible onti o walang tao para safe. pero i think malabo na rin akong bumalik bilang smoker. sa totoo lang nagsawa na rin ako eh. yehey! so anyway, on the topic ng morning sickness, siyempre next eh itatanong nyo ano ang pinaglilihiian ko.. actually, paki tanong na lang kay pitoy kasi siya ang masayang lumalamon ngayon. hahaha pero seriously, siya ata ang naglilihi uli. kain ng kain tapos kung hindi gigil na gigil kay kyle sa akin. pag gabi ang hilig sumiksik to the point na naiipit na ako at onti na lang ang space ko sa kama. mas lugi pa ako kung kasama pa si kyle sa bed namin. buti na lang eh, nakakatulog na rin siya ng tuloy-tuloy sa crib nya.

last saturday, balik ako sa ob ko for check up. i check na daw nya kung mariring na ang heartbeat ni baby using the doppler. para itong high tech na mic na ilalapit sa may puson mo o kung san man ang location ni baby. so chika-chika muna kami ni doc. tapos sabi ko sa kanya eh never pa narinig ni pitoy ang first heartbeat check ng baby using doppler. sawi siya kay kyle kasi medyo strict yung dati kong ob. so buti na lang mabait tong si bagong ob ko. so andun siya sa room kasama namin at ayun na nga, narinig niya for the very first time. tuwang tuwa ang soon to be daddy again. niloko ko pa na kung naiiyak ba siya. tawa lang siya pero sa loob ko eh feeling ko pinipigil lang niya yun. hehe tapos nun, ultrasound naman para ma check ang vital stats ni baby. siyempre on a roll si pitoy so sama din siya sa room. ayun naman, nakita niya ang look ni baby. medyo parang alien pa kasi 3 months pa lang. pero in fairness sobrang active at normal lahat ng stats. complete fingers and toes. thank god! =D hopefully sa next ultrasound eh time to check the gender na. and according naman sa ob ko. ok naman lahat. maayos ako and the baby. (next time ko na i upload ang pics nya, nagloloko nanaman ang blogger... )

so yon, so far ang updates sa baby namin.
