what is happening to our country?

is this how the Filipino people celebrate the 20th anniversary of EDSA?? sad.

i for one am not an active individual when it comes to political issues but this one i personally think became way too overboard. what image are we showing the world?? the philippines - a calamity stricken country coupled with political uproar and chaos.

how would you attract tourists and investors when our own government stains the very image of our country.

sad. pathetic. upsetting.

you can just imagine the history classes our children and future kids would be discussing in class. and maybe one day, this event would be one of the questions in Jeopardy...

my ex-officemates

visited our ex officemates last Dec. 29 after aishi and i celebrated our wedding anniv. :)

not in this picure: jordine and sir joel. sila ang mga naging ka close ko when i was working sa SB Cards. they were the ones who helped me when i encountered difficult clients. sila yung mga taong masarap kasama. one of the boys talaga ako. hehe

i sure miss being with these people.. i'm sure sa next party nila. andyan nanaman kami ni aishi. hehe

"girls get it..."

ever seen these three sets of commercials about three girls with long black shiny hair? one girl tries to avoid the numerous fans in an open air resto, the other sitting at a table alone with a guy on the other table and the last, 2 girls walking after a day's shopping...

girl # 1 with the bunch of fans...
she sees her bf on the other side of the resto. but sees there are a lot of electric fans around. she smiles at the guy and walks toward him and avoiding all the fans..

girl # 2 inside the resto...
she sitting and seems like she's waiting for her food to arrive, so to pass time, she takes out her phone and takes pictures of her hair at different angles. takes a look at the pictures she took and looks impressed with the pictures that the took. she smiles at the guy who looks really weirded out with what she did...

girl # 3 shopping...
she's walking along the sidewalk with her friend after shopping and sees a bus parked. she approaches the bus and grabs the bus' side mirror, she looks at herself then looks at her hair at different angles then returns the mirror na parang wala lang. then the driver looks at her like she's this mad woman. hehe

common thing with these girls?
they said these lines.. "girls get it..."

i'm sorry but i'm a girl but really, i really don't get it. but not in a blond bimbo kind of way that i don't get what the commercial is saying. i just don't get the message and the image that it wants to portray. does the commercial want to say that no matter what situation, you have to admire your hair? there are other things more important than your hair...

the first girl, i mean come on.. i hate my hair being blown away by the wind as the next girl but, AVOIDING the fans??!?!?!?! that's a slight breeze, nothing that a little hair combing could fix. is she afraid that if the breeze touches her hair it will fall off? hmm... maybe that's why her hair is so stiff! haha

second girl... i admit i have seen some girls do this. but taking pictures of your hair alone in a restaurant and admiring it after?? now that's sad... and sick.

third girl... would you use someone's side mirror and displace it just to look at your hair? good luck to you if you can return it back to they way it was. side mirrors are used for a different purpose. it's not just a mirror...

so... "girls get it"... nope not all. and definitely not me.

*these are just my own reactions/opinions on the commercial. this does not mean i'm looking for a fight or anything. i just want to vent out. *

can i be a drama queen for one day??

i really hate it when in my organized little OC world, something in the plan or even the schedule goes out of hand. i admit i have a hard time coping with stress that's why i try to avoid it. i plan out everything in advance even forseeing what possible events or situations that can happen.

but with the kind of situation that i am in and it seems that my own schedules are having minds of their own... konti na lang i mgiht throw in the towel and admit defeat, which really, i don't want to do!!!

some people lang talaga, would rather blame other people for their errors to save their own asses. pare-pareho lang tayong mga tao with busy schedules noh! you can't call me up and tell me off. deal with it. i am overflowing with patience, but please do not test it.

talking to kerol *special mention uli!! * in ym made me realize, which i just said a while ago: " even when everything around you fucks up, you know there's still this one thing that would keep you sane" and of course, good friends you know who will listen, just listen when you want to vent it all out and just rant.

ok, now i feel much better. thank god for good friends and conversations. if not, i would have had a million breakdowns...

7 months!!

my baby boy is now 7 months old!!

and as a gift for being such a cute, active little boy, his ninong, my brother in law bought him a walker! although i'm not a big fan of walkers, i would prefer that he would learn to walk on his own without the help of the walker. and it's obvious that he does get bored if he stays long.

my vegetables, time does fly so fast... and in 5 months time, he's a year old...

"da-da"

kyle said his first word!!!

i was happily brushing my teeth getting ready for work and bring kyle to my in laws when i heard him and his daddy playing. he was mouthing a few syllables and all of a sudden we heard the magical word!! "da-da" aishi was super happy with kyle.

i'm not jealous at all that he didn't say mama first. it's still his first word and a great milestone at his age! he really is a bright kid, that i am sure of (this time i'm not being a stage mother or anything...)

and i think, next on his agenda... standing up and trying to walk!! he seems too bored with crawling. hahaha
